HYOSTAR SJ-971 Martin D-18 knockoff -1970’s Natural Spruce/Mahogany MINT CONDITION w/caseVintage 1970’s Hyostar Acoustic Guitar with original case. These guitars were built in the 70’s at the Matsumokou factory to copy and offer an inexpensive alternative to Gibson and Martin acoustic guitars. They are very well built and have a beautiful sound. The Hyostar guitars were not part of the “lawsuit guitars” because they stopped short of mimicking the headstock of Gibson and Martin but the rest of the construction and materials used were very similar. It has a spruce top and mahogoney neck. It has low action and plays beautifully with a really nice sound. Everything is original from the pick-guard and bridge to the nut. These era guitars have become very popular over the last couple of years and are becoming harder to find. It comes with it’s original chip-board hard shell case. This guitar would be a nice addition to any collection. The bridge pins have been changed to original black ones & fitted with brand new bronze strings.Product SpecsCondition:Mint (Used)BrandHyostar/Martin D-18 styleModelSJ-971FinishNatural Spruce / MahoganyYear1970’sMade InJapan
