Squier Fender Bullet Bass Japan Mij Maple Neck 83 Sq Series Telecaster PrecisionSquier Fender Bullet Bass Japan Mij Maple Neck 83 Sq Series Telecaster Precision

COOL, OLD, JAPANESE FENDER! 100% original and complete. This is a Vintage 1983 SQUIER by Fender Bullet Bass (STAR #1). This bass was made in Japan, MIJ. Serial Number SQ052xx. “11-12-83″ is penciled on the neck heel. It comes with the non-original gig bag case you see in the pictures. Typical wear for its age, but a great solid bass. No damage or abuse. It has been PROFESSIONALLY SET UP AND SERVICED. IT PLAYS GREAT!! This bass was made when Fender was changing hands from CBS. As the new owners of Fender had plans to build a new factory in the U.S., their best guitars were being made in Japan. From Wikipedia, “The first Fender Japan guitars are known as the JV Fenders and JV Squiers, with JV standing for “Japanese Vintage” to reflect the guitars were made from the original blueprints of the vintage US guitars, were made by the FujiGen Gakki factory in Japan, using technical support from Fender USA. The SQ Squier series was introduced in late 1983 to early 1984. The SQ Squier series was based more on 1970s Fender models and also had USA made pickups installed.” Features include: Chrome hardware, open back tuners, 20 fret maple neck w/ dot markers, AlNiCo single coil split pickup, volume control, tone control, three ply pick guard, classic black body finish. Weighs 7 lbs. 12 oz. Full 34 inch scale. The set up on this bass is nice and low. The truss rod works as it should, neck is straight. All the electronics work as they should. The frets and finger board are in great shape. The back of the neck has some light marks, but nothing deep or annoying. The body of the guitar has bumps, dings, scuffs and scratches all over. The chrome is nice and shiny. I have completely serviced the guitar… cleaned the neck and body, cleaned the fingerboard, cleaned and polished the frets, cleaned the controls (no scratchy pots), tweaked the truss rod, adjusted the bridge and intonation, etc. I spend as much time and what ever it takes to make guitars play and perform as good as they possibly can. I can honestly say this bass plays better than most new ones. SOUNDS GREAT! PLAYS GREAT!! Buyer pays $29.95 shipping, insurance, PACKAGING and HANDLING to lower 48 states.
