Fantastic sounding Classical guitar by Yairi & Son of Japan. I bought this years ago from a pawn shop in Marin County, California. One of the employees claimed it had once been owned by Jerry Garcia, but had no way of proving it. Neither do I, it’s just a legend associated with this guitar. The positives of such a claim include a) This is Garcia country, b) Garcia did have a relationship with Yairi, who developed the Alvarez brand of acoustic guitar which Garcia and Weir often played in the late 70’s and 80’s, I think. But forget all that crap, how does it sound? Fantastic, really sweet tone. It’s a delight to play. If you like nylon strings this is one of the nicest sounding I’ve ever heard. Definitely a special, magical guitar that you will be very pleased to play and own.
