2011 Squier (by Fender) Cyclone Guitar - Candy Apple Red HS Great Condition 2011 Squier (by Fender) Cyclone Guitar - Candy Apple Red HS Great Condition

This is a Candy Apple Red Squier Cyclone guitar that was from a Factory Special Run a few years ago. It dates to 2011 and was made in Indonesia. The Cyclone is an unusual Fender design that is not too well known. It’s got a Gibson length scale (24-3/4) and a humbucker+single coil set up. The body is shaped like a Mustang or Duo Sonic II/Musicmaster II, with a pickguard shaped like those on earlier Duo Sonic and Musicmaster guitars. The control plate is also from the Mustang-type guitars. In fact, the new Fender Duo-Sonic HS is very similar to the Cyclone in concept, except the Cyclone has a slightly longer scale and has the strat-style tremolo. Cosmetically, this Cyclone is in excellent shape, with no significant dings, scratches or scrapes. The neck is straight and has no problems. Electronics are all in working order. With this one, I tried out a number of different pickups but then restored it to the original configuration of Squier pickups. The 3 way switch was replaced with a better quality switchcraft style right angle switch after the cheap original switch failed. Some modifications to the switch routing were made to accommodate the switch. No external modifications have been made to the guitar other than moving the location of the string tree. Sale includes Tremolo arm and extra tremolo spring.
