Vintage 1970s Ovation PreacherVintage 1970s Ovation Preacher

I’m moving some more gear – here is my 1970s era Ovation Preacher. It’s a smooth playing, cool looking guitar with all the 70s mojo and unique style. It was made in the USA with a Honduran mahogany body and neck, an ebony fretboard, two passive Ovation mini-humbucker pickups, a three-way toggle switch, separate volume/tone controls, input jacks for mono or stereo output, and 24 frets. It has two input jacks – stereo output wired so that each pick up can go to it’s own amp, though I always used it in mono (either way sounds great). It plays great, sounds great and all in all is in fine condition for a guitar that’s about 40+ years old. Most of the Preachers I’ve seen have the plastic bridge, but this has the way better and much cooler non-plastic chrome bridge. It has some age appropriate dings, dents, and scratches, but I think they give it a lot a character and even a bit of attitude. The finish has ever so slightly developed a hazy/faded look over the years. The frets have a lot of life in them and it’s been in a no-smoke, pet free house. It could probably use a new set of strings and a setup (especially after shipping), but it will be well packaged and insured and shipped probably by UPS ground. This guitar will ship in a Fender soft case (the stand in the photo isn’t included). S and H is $75 to the continental US only, please. With the high costs of shipping these days, it will probably cost quite a bit more, but I’ll eat the rest. Please feel free to ask any and all question and thanks for looking!
