This is the ultimate in travel guitars. It was hand made by Brunner Guitars in Switzerland and is no longer available. It was the basic model which was available for a few years and cost about $1000 (rather than the normal base Brunner guitar at $3000). It (as the pictures show) comes apart at the full scale neck and can be put together in about 60 seconds. This guitar has seen some serious miles. I have taken it all over the world. It has some damage on the bottom, thanks to Lufthansa airlines and the Frankfurt Airport. It also has a crack on the front, which was repaired by a friend who is a luthier and a hairline surface crack on back. It doesn’t sound like it once did, but it’s still pretty amazing for a travel guitar this size. I have not found a travel guitar this easy and portable that sounds this good. The base is pretty amazing and the tin can sound you get from most half size guitars doesn’t exist with this one. The backpack is pretty cool, too (though one of the straps should be re-sewn). All in all, even in this well used condition you’ll be hard pressed to find another travel guitar that looks this good, sounds this good, and is anywhere near this price.
