Offering a vintage 1950’s era General Electric/Shure Controlled Reluctance Mic w/Shure S36 Stand. This model 97u29 refers to the Shure 510MD “Hercules” and S36 stand which were sold as the Fixed-Station Dispatcher microphone to many American manufacturers including GE, RCA, Motorola, etc.) This Shure product was licensed to GE, and has the original Black Shure capsule, which, when tested, provides strong clean output…(see final photo.) This class of mic is sometimes referred to as the “Soapbar” or “Waffle” by harp players who like this style for it’s sound quality. The physical condition of the mic is perfect with a fresh coat of eye-catching Dark Metallic paint and clear coat. The included Shure S36 (TU-436) “Turtle Shell” desk stand has also been restored to it’s original beauty, stripped down to bare metal and given a generous coat of the matching Dark Metallic enamel paint. The base stand has it’s 5 foot pads and cable hold-down clip on the underside.
