Vintage Oktava MK-12 Small Diaphragm Condenser Tube MicrophoneVintage Oktava MK-12 Small Diaphragm Condenser Tube Microphone

Vintage Oktava MK-12 Small Diaphragm Condenser Tube Microphone Another vintage rebuild from AEG in Moscow. The MK-12 was the original Oktava SDC head from the early 70’s that was based on the Neumann SMR-64, which is the same head as the MK-64, and the predecessor to the wildly successful MK-012 many years later. This mic has a similar sound, quality and design to the legendary Neumann KM-84. This microphone uses a sub-miniature tube, this low noise tube designed specifically for microphone use. As well it uses a vintage Oktava transformer. The capsule is an MK-12, a faithful copy of the Neumann analog found on their KM series of microphones. The result is an excellent tube mic that can sit beside Telefunken, Schoeps and Neumann contemporaries. If you see other people selling AEG/RTT microphones and mods for more, keep in mind they are essentially the same microphones but on the second hand market, some people just like to take advantage of their reputation and rarity and resell them at inflated prices. These microphones are better than anything else in this price range, hands down. I am the only authorized internet seller for AEG/RTT microphones and this microphone is being sold directly from AEG. The power supply enclosure is a modern AEG power supply, in a vintage enclosure. This microphone’s power supply is 220v OR 120v This microphone comes with a 14 day trial period. We have more great vintage microphone for sale, and microphone parts, so please check our other auctions. Like “Microphone Boutique” on Facebook and Instagram for all the latest news.
